Korean concert ticketing: presale, general sale and preparation
A ticket-opening time is only one part of booking a Korean concert. Check whether you are eligible for the sale, which booking page you must use and what you need to complete payment. This guide helps overseas fans organize those checks before opening time.

Presale vs general sale
| Check | Presale · 선예매 | General sale · 일반예매 |
|---|---|---|
| Who can enter? | People who meet the particular sale's conditions, such as verified fan-club membership. | A wider group of eligible buyers, still subject to the event's account, age and other rules. |
| Is registration enough? | Membership purchase, presale application and ticket-site verification may be separate steps. | Account login and any required identity checks can still apply. |
| When does it happen? | The notice sets a separate application or verification window and presale time. | The general-sale opening time is listed separately; do not confuse it with the show date. |
| Are seats guaranteed? | Eligibility gives access to a sale, not a guaranteed seat. | Some events sell only seats left after presale; there may be none available. |
These are common distinctions, not a single policy shared by all sellers. Read the notice for your exact performance and booking route. [3]
Membership and verification
Treat membership, application and verification as three different checks. An official notice may require all three, and their deadlines may not be the same.
- Confirm which fan-club membership or membership region is eligible, and whether there is an eligibility cut-off.
- Check whether a separate presale application is required on the artist or membership platform.
- Complete the ticket site's verification within its stated period and check for a successful result.
- Check which language or booking page you verified on. A verification on one page may not carry over to another.
Do not assume that buying a membership immediately before the sale makes you eligible. Follow the event's own cut-offs and instructions. [1][2]
Overseas-fan checklist
- Booking account
Check the official domestic or global booking link in the notice. Do not assume an account on one site works on another language site.
- Name and identity
Check how your account name, membership information and accepted identification must match. Resolve differences before the sale rather than guessing a spelling.
- Payment
Check the methods accepted on that booking page and whether your chosen card needs additional authorization. Keep access to any authentication method you will need.
- Ticket collection and entry
Check delivery or collection options, who can collect the ticket and what identification is required. A paid booking does not replace the event's entry checks.
Payment, collection and account requirements vary by event and service. The official performance page takes priority over a general checklist. [2][4]
Opening times and time zones
Use the time zone written in the official notice. If it says KST, that means Korean Standard Time, UTC+09:00. Do not enter a time labeled for another zone as if it were KST.
Illustration only: 20:00 KST is 11:00 UTC, 20:00 in Japan and 19:00 in mainland China. Other regions may change their offset for daylight saving time.
Convert a KST opening time
This converter uses your browser's time-zone setting. Check the displayed zone and the original notice; this is not an actual sale schedule.
When the sale opens
- Open the exact performance, date and sale type described in the official notice. A fan-club sale and a general sale can have different entry conditions.
- If a queue appears, follow the seller's instructions. Do not assume that repeated refreshing or opening extra windows will improve your position.
- Treat a selected seat as a step in the process, not proof of a completed booking. Check any on-screen payment deadline.
- After payment, check the official booking history or confirmation status. If the outcome is unclear, check that status before trying another payment.

Questions and practice tools
Does membership mean I already have a ticket?
No. It may make you eligible for a particular presale, but you still need to complete the event's required verification and booking steps.
Can I switch to the global site after verification?
Check the event notice first. Some notices limit presale access to the page on which verification was completed. Do not assume the two routes share verification.
Is general sale free of restrictions?
No. General sale can still have account checks, purchase limits and payment conditions, and tickets may be sold out.
Practice the steps you can control
Use the clock to read an estimated server time, the calendar to find openings, and the games to practice clicking seats or typing CAPTCHA characters. These are practice tools, not copies of a seller's actual system.

The linked event notices are examples used to explain the checks, not announcements of current sales. Their dates and event-specific conditions should not be reused for another performance.
